The extraordinary story of Elvira Ruocco, from today is a piece of the museum

Fratelli Cozzi Museum is proud to present Elvira Ruocco, historical memory and red heart Alfa Romeo. In the world of alfisti Elvira is an institution, with its boundless wealth of experience and memories, collected in twenty-two years of career spent in the Alfa Romeo Historical Documentation Centre.

Elvira will be part of the Museum's team and will provide her encyclopedic knowledge in two sections hosted on the website and on the Museum's social networks, entitled "Elvira Tell" and "In Archive with Elvira", where he will reveal curiosities and anecdotes about Alfa Romeo cars kept in the museum and beyond.

Elvira started working at Portello in 1972, starting from the Service Department. In 1974 she moved, like most of the staff, to the Arese plant and after a short period in the Commercial Management in the industrial vehicles sector, she joined the External Relations and Press Department.

In 1983 she was entrusted with the task of reordering the Alfa Romeo Historical Documentation Centre; for twenty-two years she ordered, collected, archived documents, publications, objects and, above all, many Alfa Romeo souvenirs. Today it is considered one of the leading experts in the sector, known and disputed by Alfa Romeo Clubs, brand scholars and collectors of historic cars.

His work has been invaluable and has contributed to making the archive one of the three best archives operating in Lombardy, awarded in 1996 in the competition organized by the Milan Chamber of Industry, Crafts and Agriculture in collaboration with the Centre on the History of Enterprise and Innovation, with the considerable sum of ten million lire.

In 2005 he left Alfa Romeo, but the experience and passion gained over the years will remain forever present in the life of Elvira, who continues to follow events, meetings and conferences dedicated to the redheads of Arese.
