FAI Days: we've crunched the numbers! 1277 visitors, 15 hours of museum opening, 40 trainee guides, 10 volunteers! A success for which "1000 Thanks" are not enough!
The Fratelli Cozzi Museum, counted among the properties open on the occasion of #GiornateFai, has recorded a record number of visitors that makes us proud and encourages us to continue on our path of dissemination of culture Made in Italy. 1277 visitors in 15 hours of opening, distributed between Saturday 23 and Sunday, March 24, an important number that exceeds the national average (770,000 visitors distributed in 1,100 assets open for an average of 770 person).
The public was welcomed by the #ApprendistiCiceroni, or rather the students of theIstituto Tecnico Maggiolini of Parabiago and the Istituto Carlo dell'Acqua of Legnano, represented by class 4° A TUR. The students recounted the beauty of the Alfa Romeos collected by Pietro Cozzi from 1950 onwards, knowing how to interpret the local and national historical, social and economic context. Many generations, many car enthusiasts and many design lovers followed the itinerary proposed by the students with attention, leaving positive reviews of the visiting experience: "Here not only are stories about cars told, but in its own small way the Fratelli Cozzi Museum tells a cross-section of the history of our country".
Special thanks go to all the FAI volunteers who skilfully managed the event with great skill, coordinated by Silvana Belloni, Head of the FAI Delegation for North-West Milan, to whom thanks are due for having chosen the Museum as an asset to be enhanced as part of the Spring Days and for her extraordinary personal contribution.
A moment of great intensity was experienced by Members and Friends of FAI at the concert given by classical accordionist Lucia Picozzi on Saturday 23rd. Moving from narration to emotion, Lucia took us on a folkloric journey that crossed borders, affiliations and traditions. There was no lack of tears on the faces of many of those present who were moved and greeted the wonderful performance with thunderous applause.
The FAI Spring Days were an important media event that made our area known nationwide, thanks also to the support of the RAI, which broadcast the initiative in many programmes, including, to name but a few: Uno Mattina, Storie Italiane, La Prova del Cuoco, Linea Verde, L'Eredità, Porta a Porta, I Fatti Vostri, Made in Sud, Detto Fatto, Geo, Kilimangiaro, as well as in-depth coverage by TGR Speciale Ambiente Italia.
