The Museum is also among the properties open for the FAI Spring Days

16 March, 2019

The Fratelli Cozzi Museum will be open to the public for the 27th edition of the FAI Spring Days, we look forward to seeing you on 23 and 24 March!

The Museum will be opened by the FAI Delegation of North-West Milan, and the visits will be accompanied by the "student ciceroni" of the Carlo Dell'Acqua di Legnano and Maggiolini di Parabiago schools, at the times indicated in the programme. The students will be part of the 40,000 Apprentice City Guides©, students from 1st and 2nd grade secondary schools throughout Italy who will accompany the visits to the open spaces. A commitment that brings together schools, families and places of culture with the intention of educating to respect and value the artistic and natural heritage through a formula of active participation, certainly one of the most effective ways to awaken civil commitment.

THE FAI
There will be 1,100 places open in 430 Italian locations for the FAI Spring Days which, we remind you, are a national event dedicated to the rediscovery of the historical, artistic and cultural heritage of our country. Inaugurated in 1993, they have seen the participation of over 10 million Italians who have had the opportunity to visit more than 12,000 places in 5,000 Italian locations.
"Participating in the FAI Spring Days means making a tangible gesture in defence of our artistic and natural heritage. In return for each visit, our volunteers ask for an optional contribution - starting at €2, €3 or €5 - in support of the mission that FAI has been committed to for over 40 years: the care, protection and enhancement of the places and the stories that make Italy unique".
To this heartfelt appeal from the national FAI secretariats, we would add the invitation from the Fratelli Cozzi Museum : "DO THE MUSEUM": spread the word about beauty through social media using the official hashtags: #MuseoFratelliCozzi #GiornateFAI #FondoAmbiente

Lucia Picozzi, an extraordinary classical accordionist, will be performing on Saturday 23rd at 6pm in a special concert dedicated to Members and Friends of FAI.

THE COZZI BROTHERS MUSEUM
The Museum houses more than 50 Alfa Romeos complete with original graphics and unique materials. In a space essential in its form and exclusive in its details, the multicoloured bodies of an iconic Made in Italy brand shine. The collection is composed of one example of each model produced by Alfa Romeo, from 1950 to the present day, chosen from among the most performing or interesting models for collectors. There are two unique pieces in the world.
Together with the cars, there are over 300 posters and hundreds of photographs, books and magazines, brochures and user manuals, trophies dedicated to the drivers (designed by the great artists of the 1900s including: Lucio Fontana, Giò Pomodoro, Agenore Fabbri, Bruno Munari...) objects of art and numerous other exhibits.
The cars on display, divided into sedans, coupes and spiders, represent an important heritage for the history of the Italian car and the documents preserved in the Cozzi.Lab testify to the commercial path, sales and marketing techniques of the company that sold them.
