Welcome Mariella

December 22, 2020

The story of three museums, three women and a lot of passion for cars. An embrace that extends east and west to reach the hearts of all of you.

Museums are closed, but not for this reason they have stopped their activities. It seems a contradiction, but we assure you that it is not so. In these months we have continued to feel a great creative and communicative force and there have been many opportunities to invest in training and comparison. That's why we are happy to present you with "bonus tracks" of #Teloraccontoa real Christmas gift from the museums: united, strong, collaborative and ready to relaunch the cultural challenge.

In this episode we met Mariella Mengozzi, director of the MAUTO of Turinwho told us about an extraordinary car, the Alfa P2. It was not easy to choose among the cars in the collection of the Automobile Museum of Turin, which boasts one of the rarest and most interesting collections of its kind, with over 200 original cars of 80 brands from all over the world. But the Director chose to pay homage to our great Alfista love, to take us back to the days of great sporting success.

A curiosity: at MAUTO, you can admire the visionary project of the Renaissance genius Leonardo da Vinci, to continue with the first experiments of steam coaches of the nineteenth century and the elegant cars of the early twentieth century, which saw the affirmation of one engine among all, the internal combustion engine, absolute symbol of the continuous tension of man towards speed. And don't forget the letters with which personalities such as Jano and Gobbato haggled with Ruffia over the donation of the cars in the collection.

The DIALOGUE BETWEEN MUSEUMS, will continue thanks to the cycle of meetings organized by MAUTO that, on the IG page of the Museum, will deepen the issues related to "strategies, critical issues and projects in a historical moment of great transformations, especially related to the digital fruition of culture and the relationship between the Museum and its audience."

To "guide" the meetings, we will find Mariella Mengozzi again who will talk, from time to time, with representatives of many important museums - national and international, automotive and not. Discover here the calendar of meetingswhich will also include the participation of our Elisabetta Cozzi (5 January, 6 pm)

"Every little detail, is the fruit of a great story."
