In America with Petrolicious

21 June, 2020

While hugging close friends became difficult, web-based relationships allowed us to stay in touch with friends all over the world. It was therefore a pleasure to meet Afshin Benhia, founder of Petrolicious, whom we had had the pleasure of meeting in Italy on several occasions, such as the shooting dedicated to our Alfa 75 and for the 100th anniversary of Zagato. We caught up with him live on Instagram during the lockdown. The power of the web which, once again in this suspended period, has reduced distances and time zones.

Even though we've already had a lot of validation, it never ceases to amaze us how the legendary Biscione brand manages to gather enthusiasm and emotion at every latitude. Over 35,000 views and 6,000 'likes' echoed the posts on Petrolicious' instagram profile and the enthusiasm felt made us forget that an ocean separated us.

We know that Alfa Romeo is an iconic brand that embodies the idea (or ideal) of an Italy that sometimes seems to be running away. The Italy of La Dolce Vita, of the economic miracle, but also of the protest and the social question that divided divergent movements that are now united in the same historical chapter. This is how lines, engines and details become a dream, a memory and an imaginary world tour. In the first few years of its opening, the museum has welcomed more than 10,000 guests from 25 different countries, yet we never cease to be amazed at how much affection is felt for our "little ones" and what they represent.
