Palermo Milan - Solo Andata (1995)

Duration: 109 minutes - Genre: detective, dramatic - Director: Claudio Fragasso - The cast: Giancarlo Giannini, Raoul Bova, Ricky Memphis, Romina Mondello, Rosalinda Celentano, Francesco Benigno, Stefania Sandrelli, Stefania Rocca, Tony Sperandeo, Valerio Mastandrea, Paolo Calissano, Aldo Massasso, Maurizio Aiello. We are in 1995, close to the sad period of the mafia massacres in Italy, and Claudio Fragasso shoots this film that obtains the recognition of "film of national cultural interest", highlighting the very high sense of duty of the escort men. The team, made up of novice police officers, must in fact escort a Mafia accountant from Palermo to Milan, overcoming shootings, ambushes, strange connivances and deaths left on the field. The car queen of the film is the Alfa Romeo 75, which seems almost dancing among the bullets of the ambushes. Also on the sidelines is a 164 Q4 and an Alfa 33. A small curiosity: in the first edition of the film's press kit, the cast does not include Valerio Mastandrea, who reminds the director, with a handwritten note, that he also existed. The soundtrack by Pino Donaggio is also remarkable and impressive.
CINEMALFA On the cinema stage in Italy, the brand that most of all represents the changes in our society's customs, passion and made in Italy is certainly Alfa Romeo. It is enough to remember films that have made history and of outstanding workmanship such as 'The Graduate' with Dustin Hoffman, 'Rocco and His Brothers' by Luchino Visconti, 'Rome in Armed Hands' by Umberto Lenzi, right up to the very recent 'Vallanzasca, the Angels of Evil' by Michele Placido to place the Milanese company unquestionably among the most fascinating and famous brands in the world. CinemAlfa was born exactly from this: it is the ambitious idea of bringing together motoring and film enthusiasts into a unique Association. It is also a Study Centre for those who want to study, to deepen their cine-automobile culture with texts divided into two distinct areas of interest, the automotive one and the cinematographic one, all of which can be consulted in the Bergamo branch of the club. The members, with their cars, have collaborated in the creation and launch of many film projects including short films, commercials, music videos and films of international stature including "Era Santo, era uomo" directed by Lino Zani, the fiction "1993" and "1994" for Sky, "Maltese. Il romanzo del Commissario", "Noi e la Giulia!", "All the money in the world" by Ridley Scott, just to name a few. The operating offices also house a number of cars and a rich and interesting photo gallery that takes the visitor on a small journey through a hundred years of memories and film history. The Association is present on the web with its own site (www.cinemalfa.it), with a You Tube channel and a very active Facebook profile where members and friends discuss the latest news in the automotive and film industry.
