Park in the archive

November 24, 2020

A real tutorial where Elisabetta Cozzi, director of the Museum, will reveal the curiosities of the Cozzi.Lab... the brain of the Fratelli Cozzi Museum. And she will not be alone! With her... the big eyes of Arnaldo the Cheetah

Among the virtual appointments we've created to make the Enterprise Culture Week, organised by Museimpresa, a pit stop in the archives was a must.

Thearchive of the Fratelli Cozzi Museum was the origin of everything, allow us, even before the cars, because it is right here that the turning point between a collection and a museum lies. There are many collectors who keep real treasures, but we believe that a museum fulfils a divulgative function of more than proportional value to the objects it keeps. That's why photographs, posters, books, articles, precious manuals, correspondence and all that Pietro Cozzi kept, become an instrument of interdisciplinary reconstruction.

"It doesn't matter if you find yourself at a crossroads | follow your instincts and listen to the advice of those who have put some road in the archives." Fabrizio Moro

In recent years we have created courses for more than 1000 students from different fields of study and we have been fully aware of how a transversal knowledge is kept here, starting from engineering and arriving at sociology, from fashion to politics, from design to contemporary history.

For this reason we have worked for over two years to transform the precious collection of materials and documents into an organized and easily accessible archive and we have decided to share part of this material online as well, allowing the public free access to knowledge and passion.

Marta Bianchi, a professional archivist, proceeded with the organisation by digitising and cataloguing the archive material together with photographer Francesco Morello.

And at this time when we spend more time in our homes and in front of our screens, why not treat yourself to a trip through our archives? Follow Elisabetta's video, you will find all the instructions to "park in the archive".
