The "reason why"

Perhaps not everyone knows that the Cozzi Brothers Museum, which opened in October 2015, became "the Museum", with its three cornerstones PASSION, CULTURE and EVENTS, with its strategy ... with its soul, on July 4, 2016. But why did we make a Museum? 

A few days ago I was about to tell my son that the Museum, as it is today, I mean not only physically but strategically, was born two years ago, on July 4, 2016. I hadn't even finished the sentence, that he, looking me in the eye, asked, "But why did you make a museum?"

For some years now we have been reading that the new generations, and therefore also the new generations of consumers, have been asking themselves about the deep reasons of companies, about their origins, about what is called the "reason why": why that company decides to do things in that way. Only after that comes what it sells. And this answer is able to guide their consumption decisions and therefore their way of expressing approval or not to the companies whose products or services they buy.

First of all I am happy, happy to know that they are and will be more "aware" consumers than previous generations .
Secondly I feel more responsible to do well and to communicate it even better.
So Giacomo and dear friends of the Fratelli Cozzi Museum, this is our "reason why":

The Fratelli Cozzi museum was created to tell stories: the story of a brand of cars, the story of the company that produced them, of the dealership that sold them and of a man who loved them.
This is the genesis. But then it becomes more. The Museum itself becomes a real company that combines, in the most virtuous way possible, three strategic directions, which bind and feed each other, embracing and exchanging value.

Passion, Culture, Events.
Those of you who know me a little, know my values. I have brought them into the Museum. I have also expressed them through the testimonies of men and women.

Like the presentation of books by Oscar di Montigny, Filomena Pucci, Niccoló Branca. Authors and books that have been of great inspiration to me and that I have been lucky enough to have as guests, to present their creed, in our Museum.
I am already organizing the presentation of the next book and author, Giuseppe Morici: "Making managers while remaining good people." Also in this book I found, wonderfully expressed, the "reason why " of the Fratelli Cozzi Museum: "We all know the how, but very few of the why. We have become specialists in everything, but we no longer know ourselves, we no longer know men.

"We know all the hows, but very few of the whys. We have become specialists in everything, but we no longer know ourselves, we no longer know men."

I anticipate these sentences, among the many I have underlined.

And then :
"Beauty is the most undervalued value in the managerial practice of our days. And it is also the most indispensable to recover a lost nobility to our profession. If we start from the concept of profit at all costs, we arrive in many wrong places. But if you start from the concept of balance, it is certain that first then you will pass by the places of beauty. “
"Companies are not economic actors with a social responsibility, but they are social actors with an economic responsibility."
And finally I close with this last sentence of the book, which I feel even closer:
"To look up,therefore, to look away. Turn your gaze towards the new direction, then. And finally cut the corner and accelerate. “
