Ruoteclassicheis an Italian magazine specialized in dealing with topics related to cars, motorcycles and commercial, industrial and agricultural vehicles of the past.

The origins date back to a column held by Gianni Cancellieri on Quattroruote that aroused the interest of many readers and convinced Domus to attempt an independent publication. The project for issue zero was entrusted, in early 1987, to Tito Anselmi and the first issue to be published on newsstands, with an Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 on the cover, was that of November 1987.

Initially the direction was taken "ad interim" by Raffaele Mastrostefano who, since the death of Gianni Mazzocchi, was at the head of the "mother magazine" Quattroruote. From 1989 (n.15) the direction was entrusted to Gianni Cancellieri who, at the end of 1991 (n.44), passed the helm to Marco Centenari who maintained it until 1998, to be replaced (n.118) by the vice-director of Quattroruote Raffaele Laurenzi. After the retirement of the latter, starting from the number of May 2014 (n.305), Domus called the direction of the periodical David Giudici.

The Mastrostefano management and the subsequent Chancellors' management set and maintained an editorial line mainly aimed at experts, technicians and enthusiasts in the sector, characterised by great historical rigour and the publication of many period documents and images.

Starting with the direction of Centenari and even more so with the direction of Laurenzi, the editorial line of the magazine, in order to address a wider audience, has gradually moved towards a less technical and more mundane style, often preferring "coloured articles" to the naked historical examination and paying great attention to the sector of sports and commemorative competitions with historic or classic cars. This editorial line, in the face of a diminished historical-technical rigour, has led to a doubling of the circulation in the period 1998-2014.

To the "driving impressions" of historic vehicles, Ruoteclassiche combines dossiers on the most important models, brands, personalities and historical periods (also thanks to the possibility of accessing the archives of Quattroruote and L'Auto Italiana), as well as articles on the most important sectorial events - be they competitions, elegance contests or auctions. The magazine also publishes the quotations (processed according to the criteria of the parent magazine) of thousands of vintage cars and motorcycles, considered a reference point for "insiders" in the sector.

The Club Milanese Automotoveicoli d'Epoca was born in Milan on February 5, 1959, when a small group of fans of antique cars and motorcycles came together to form an association to preserve and save vintage vehicles as true evidence of human ingenuity and, as such, worthy of being preserved, studied and cared for.

Promoter of major initiatives, the CMAE was the first vintage car club in Italy to have its own statute, and the first to recognize the historical value of motorcycles.
In 1966 the club was also instrumental in the birth of the ASI (Automotoclub Storico Italiano).

The CMAE has always been a promoter of initiatives aimed at preserving and enhancing the international motoring heritage and its immense value. It organizes events and gatherings of vintage cars and motorcycles in their function as travelling museums, in Italy and abroad, elegance and restoration competitions, visits to museums and specialized exhibitions. It promotes knowledge among enthusiasts and collectors of other clubs, helps members in the correct preparation of ASI practices and, through its experts, guides the member in the correct restoration and the search for spare parts. On the national territory it is present every year at the most important fairs in the sector.

Today the CMAE has almost 2,000 members; since 2017 a "Youth" section has also been added, dedicated to the new generation of fans, a bridge between the club's past and future.
The "classic" allure is the trademark of this club, which in 2019 blew out 60 candles, and which has in its DNA the ability to preserve the magic of the past with an eye always on the future, so that the precious international motoring heritage continues to be enhanced.
