PASSION
1000 Miles one year later
27 October, 2020
It was a great emotion to return to the 1000 Miglia one year after the race on board the S.Z. How many things have changed in such a short time.
The 1000 miles is a dream for all fans of historic motoring, the 1000 miles on board an Alfa Romeo, is legend! In the year of its 110th anniversary, Alfa Romeo was a great protagonist of the "most beautiful race in the world". The victory of Roberto and Andrea Vesco, in race number 46, is the icing on the cake! Father and son, together with the 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS Zagato of Team Villa Trasqua won the 2020 edition and we can only congratulate them. Yes, we are familiar with the epic stories of fathers and sons with an Alfa heart, and at the 1000 Miglia we wanted to continue the celebrations for the first five years of the Museum.

In this photo we are in Piazza Garibaldi in Treviglio, a few meters from the time control point.

In the photo: Elisabetta Cozzi (Fratelli Cozzi Museum), Juri Fabio Imeri (Mayor of Treviglio), Ivan Scelsa (President Cinemalfa)
We would like to thank Ivan Scelsa, president of Cinemalfa for his invitation to attend the stage in Treviglio (BG) with the car in which Elisabetta Cozzi, Marco Cuppini and Klaus Busse took part last year aboard the flaming red S.Z.. We felt really pampered with our car parked right at the Town Hall building and an impeccable organization in which every detail was taken care of and prepared to respect the anti Covid-19 protocol.

And it was a real tribute to a territory that has paid a lot in recent months, a "tightening" to the city trying to give a little 'breathing space to traders and the many activities that need to relaunch. This is how the mayor of Treviglio Juri Fabio Imeri explained the choice.

"Dear Alphists, let your

heart!"

"The opportunity to support an event of this caliber in partnership is, for us, an opportunity and a stimulus" said Ivan Scelsa and we feel we can make this message our own.

Now we have other difficult months ahead of us, but we are sure that the strength and solidarity that we felt palpable in the squares of Treviglio, represent at best the great Italian obstinacy. In just one year the scenarios have been changed, we have broken "the engine of the country", we have felt tiredness and fear, we have cried, we have smiled again looking in the rear-view mirror at the worst that was going away. A new challenge awaits us but we are ready to take it on: belts and masks well fastened and foot ready on the accelerator to start (obviously at full throttle) as soon as the situation allows. Dear Alphists, make your heart feel!
