ALFA CLUB ALFAMOUS, WE ARE ALWAYS MORE

21 October, 2021

discover all the stars of the wall of fame dedicated to alfa romeo clubs around the world! share their history, photos and passion with us.

Every time we turn to look at it, one more star has popped up on our Wall of Fame.

Memories our Alfamous initiative? Well, the review of the Alfa Clubs friends of the Cozzi Brothers Museum and scattered around the world continues: we have already reached 9 stars!

For each Alfa Club participating in the initiative, the Museum will place a star on the brand new Alfamous Wall of Fame. Moreover, thanks to the collaboration with AFRA, Alfa Clubs are entitled to a special discount! Go to https://www.afra.it/it/ to find out more.

The sixth club in our Wall of Fame is not really a club, but a registry: the Alfa Romeo Matta Register.

Let's find out together!

  • Club: Alfa Romeo Matta Register AR 51 - AR 52
  • Where: Italy
  • Year of foundation: 1992
  • Number of members: Indefinite, more or less over 300
  • Favourite Alfa Romeo: Obviously the Matta, in all versions, Military, Civilian, Police or Special.

The Matta is the only true off-road vehicle produced by Alfa Romeo in over 110 years. It was a matter of pride for Alfa's managers to decide to show the world that even in Milan they were able to produce a vehicle so different from the well-known and consolidated Alfa Romeo production, all based on sporty, elegant and exclusive cars.

"Today, many true Alfa Romeo enthusiasts have one,' says Franco Melotti, co-founder, 'and it is a well-known fact that in all the most important collections of high-value classic cars there is never a Matta example missing.

We are super friends with the Alfa Matta register, which also held a rally at the Museum. We always wait for them with open arms!

Theseventh club in our review, and the second this month, comes from faraway South America: we make the acquaintance of Club Alfa Romeo Argentina, the farthest of all the clubs we have met so far!

  • Club: Club Alfa Romeo Argentina
  • Where: San Isidro, Buenos Aires
  • Year of foundation: 1981
  • Number of members: approximately 70 members
  • Favourite Alfa Romeo: very difficult to choose, they all love them

"We like Alfa because it represents sportiness and passion in a land that has given us great drivers such as Fangio, Froilán González, Lole Reutemann, and many others who have driven Italian cars,' explains president Francisco Yantorno. 'The history of Alfa is strongly linked to the history of Argentine motor racing, and for many others in this 'little Italy' it means a link with the land of their families.”.

Francisco moved us with his words, he really did.

We end our journey through the Alfa Clubs of the Month with a detour to Northern Europe for Klubb Alfa Romeo Norge. A fantastic club with over a thousand members!

  • Club: Klubb Alfa Romeo Norge
  • Where: Drøbak, Norway
  • Year of foundation: 1982, 1983 start of activities
  • Number of members: always 1000-1500 members
  • Favourite Alfa Romeo: all. An overview of all major models is also available on the club website!

Our club has managed to act as a collector for all Alfa Romeo owners in Norway for all these years, so no more Alfa Romeos have sprung up, we are all here," says president Øyvind Iversen. "We are especially proud of our club magazine, which is the glue for our members.

Friends, we look forward to meeting you too!
