Alfa Romeo 8C, a history in an acronym

March 26, 2023

April's guided tour of the museum will feature a tale of a car that is legend with Ivan Scelsa's new book

"Evoking iconic names and acronyms of a glorious and successful past like Alfa Romeo's could have been a danger. So it did not: in 2008 the 8C Competizione was born, a synthesis of the new "Alfa Romeo philosophy" to reaffirm its uniqueness and ability to combine emotion, effective design and aerodynamics through the enhancement of driving pleasure."

Ivan Scelsa returns to the Museum, and he does so with his latest book published by Giorgio Nada editore in the Supercar series: Alfa Romeo 8C - Competition and Spider.

A book that tells the story of the 8C, from the concept to the version marketed in only 500 examples: after all, this supercar pleases and relaunches the image of the Brand among the most important collectors around the world.

Ample space is devoted to the history and stylistic evolution of the two models, with an in-depth look at the interior fittings signed at the time by Frau.

The photographs included in this article are found in the book and were kindly granted to us to communicate the event by Giorgio Nada Editore.
