Happy birthday Alfa Romeo
09 June, 2020

On Sunday 21st June, starting at 14.00, the Fratelli Cozzi Museum and the CMAE are waiting for you to celebrate together the 110th anniversary of Alfa Romeo. The event is organized in collaboration with Ruoteclassiche.

#TheCultureDoesn't Stop #InsiemePerIlClassico #ItalyLive

After months of forced closure the Fratelli Cozzi Museum opens back to the public to celebrate 110 years of Alfa Romeo, founded in Milan on June 24, 1910. We couldn't miss such an important moment for us and for all Biscione fans. In these closing months we had the opportunity to meet with journalists and car enthusiasts and, once again, we felt a great love for this brand, for these cars, for this page of Italian history.

And a party always needs friends!

Pn this we have involved the historic Milanese vintage car and motorcycle club CMAE with the beautiful cars of its enthusiastic members.

And Ruoteclassiche , with which we share the poster #InsiemePerIlClassico, will be partner of the initiative and for the occasion launches an initiative dedicated to its readers and followers: among the candidates will be selected 10 vintage Alfa Romeo, with their crews, to whom to give the participation to the event. Who will be the lucky ones?

The event was organized in compliance with all the rules in force in the field of prevention Covid, with the utmost attention to the health of visitors and employees.

DO YOU KNOW CMAE?

The Club Milanese Automotoveicoli d'Epoca was born in Milan on February 5, 1959, when a small group of antique car and motorcycle enthusiasts got together to create an association that would preserve and save vintage vehicles as true testimonies of human ingenuity and, as such, worthy of being preserved, studied and cared for. A promoter of major initiatives, the CMAE was the first vintage car club in Italy to adopt its own statute, and the first to recognize the historical value of the motorcycle. In 1966, the club was also instrumental in the birth of the ASI (Automotoclub Storico Italiano). The CMAE has always been a promoter of initiatives aimed at preserving and enhancing the international motoring heritage and its immense value. It organises events and rallies of vintage cars and motorcycles as travelling museums, in Italy and abroad, competitions of elegance and restoration, visits to museums and specialised exhibitions. It promotes the acquaintance between enthusiasts and collectors of other clubs, helps members in the correct preparation of ASI practices and, through its experts, directs the member in the proper restoration and search for spare parts. It is present every year at the most important trade fairs in Italy. Today the CMAE has almost 2,000 members; since 2017, a "Youth" section has also been added, dedicated to the new generation of enthusiasts, a bridge between the past and the future of the club. The "classic" allure is the trademark of this club, which in 2019 blew out 60 candles, and which has in its DNA the ability to preserve the magic of the past with an eye always turned to tomorrow, so that the precious international motoring heritage continues to be enhanced to the fullest.
COZZI BROTHERS MUSEUM The Fratelli Cozzi Museum was born from Pietro Cozzi's passion for the Alfa Romeo brand, a passion that led him to collect, starting from 1955, the year in which the homonymous dealership was founded, an example of each model produced by the Biscione, chosen from the most performing or interesting set-up for collecting. Today the Museum has more than 60 cars, including in the collection 2 cars unique in the world and some very rare models. In addition to the cars, the Cozzi.LAB also houses more than 300 original posters, thousands of photographs, brochures, user manuals, car and spare parts catalogues, repair manuals, trophies, art objects together with the most important magazines and books in the sector, and all the documents that bear witness to the commercial history, sales and marketing techniques of the dealership that sold them.
