The Fratelli Cozzi Museum celebrates its first 5 years! What are the ideas and emotions that led to the birth of the museum? Find out with the words of the director Elisabetta Cozzi!

I remember very well the event of the inauguration of the Museum, it was articulated on 24 hours... the 24 hours of Fratelli Cozzi. 24 and 25 October 2015. Speakers, personalities, meetings, interviews: how many friends had spoken. The Fratelli Cozzi Museum opened its doors to the public for the first time, enchanting hundreds of people with its new and fascinating design. Why a museum? I say it every time there is a guided tour: this museum was born as a gift. For the birthday of Pietro Cozzi and for the anniversary of the Dealer he founded. 1935-1955 -> 2015. But he didn't bring with him any particular project, except that of being more beautiful and accessible.

Then life can surprise, it always presents and proposes something and maybe it's enough to know how to look. Maybe the look opens up to new ideas when the time is right to do so, when the heart lets itself be thrown over obstacles, when something inside tells you that you can do it, when that thing "makes youreyessparkle". It was the first event, a few months after the opening, the first time the museum was asked to host a party, it was right then that a different future began to take shape. The beauty of the tables in the middle of the cars, the lights, the flowers, the ladies in evening dresses, the men in tuxedos, the dancers, the singer: wherever you turned around you were fascinated, almost incredulous.

It was a combination of culture, history, fun, charm, storytelling, memory, sharing: a unique place, capable of arousing a thousand emotions. After a few more months, guided tours for alfisti enthusiasts begin... the first nicknames arrive: "the temple of the Biscione", "the cathedral of collecting", "the treasure chest".

So many testimonies of affection, so much passion, so much Italian pride! Then we discover the schools and their great interest in being involved and we discover tourism enchanted by all that is Made in Italy. Then we discover other business museums, a world dedicated to culture and storytelling, beauty and conservation. So we understand that our story was a business story that had to be told, shared, nurtured. Event after event, visitor after visitor, student after student, experience after experience, we define a vision, we structure a project and we create a company.

In 2018 Museo Fratelli Cozzi Srl was born: a start-up with 60 years of history. And it was immediately disrupted: a woman who runs a car museum that is a start-up founded together with a man over 80 years old. But the graphics, the style of communication and the guided tours themselves were also disruptive: no pistons and engines but stories, stories of design, society, cinema, music, politics. Those stories that make us travel through time and space. That make us feel close to what we are looking at. Those stories that belong to us, because this museum belongs to all of us.

That was five years ago. But also 12,000 visitors, 25 countries in the world, 130 events, over 1000 students, we have been awarded by Tripadvisor with the certificate of excellence every year, we are in the network of Business Museums and Design Museums in Lombardy, we were open for the spring days of FAI, we were candidates for the Corporate art award, we won an award as best location and we are in 10% of the best attractions in the world.

But most importantly, do you know what we are? We're happy that we believed in a dream and that we made it come true. And we are grateful first of all to Pietro Cozzi who allowed all this and to all of you, who are the reason why everything is as it is now.
