We believe in ghosts

22 July, 2019

Art, photography, Beauty, Black and White, exhibitions, Culture. Yes, the Fratelli Cozzi Museum believes in Ghosts.

Ghost is a publishing project on Italian art photography born in Turin in 2015 from a vision and a project by Giorgio Racca. Ghost Book publishes unpublished and uncommon stories, alternating the big names of photography with young emerging photographers.

Francesco Jodice, Efrem Raimondi, Piero Gemelli, Edoardo Romagnoli, Rossano Ronci, Marco Craig, Lady Tarin, Toni Thorimbert, Denis Curti, Pierpaolo Pitacco are the important names in Italian photography that have collaborated and continue to collaborate with Ghost. But the activities that the Ghost brand identifies are not limited to publishing.

The Ghost and the Fratelli Cozzi Museum have entered into apartnership that will be formalised with a first appointment scheduled for autumn 2019. You will soon find out the details, follow us on our social networks and stay up to date by subscribing to our newsletter.

With Ghost, photography projects become communication projects for companies that know how to break the mould and break the rules. Ghost has carried out projects with Piaggio, Aprilia, BMW Motorrad, Eataly, Compagnia dei Caraibi, Vermouth Riserva Carlo Alberto, Soralama', Bulthaup Italia.

Since 2017, he has started an exhibition activity. Ghost Art Gallery organizes and curates photography exhibitions, the last one in Milan, in My Own Gallery at Superstudio, on the occasion of Milan Photo Week, for the release of Ghost #5 Man On The Moon. Among others, in 2019, in Turin at Palazzo Saluzzo Paesana Ghost curated the exhibition of photographer Davide Dutto and his project NoTools_Fork1, with the involvement for side events of the two Michelin Star chefs Pino Cuttaia and Matteo Baronetto. The exhibition then went on to Florence and Milan, and in the coming months it will reach Rome and Palermo.

In 2019 Ghost has formed partnerships with MIA Photo Fair, Leica Italia, Copernico, Superstudio Group. New events in Milan and Turin are planned for September, while work is underway on Ghost Book #6 which will be released in November.

MAN LANDS ON THE MOON

Ghost is a multimedia editorial project on Italian fine art photography. Ghost Book #5, published on the occasion of Milano Photo Week 2019, is a monothematic volume, dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of the Moon landing. The journey from the Earth to the Moon on Ghost becomes the journey of photography. The infinite enclosed in the space of an image.

The ship Ghost_#5_ManOnTheMoon, fifty years after the Apollo 11 enterprise, begins its voyage from the port of Francesco Jodice, with the poetry of Gian Paolo Barbieri, Maria Vittoria Baravelli and Piero Gemelli, the vision of the Universe of Angela Pietribiasi, the knowledge of Rossano Ronci and Marco Berry. The crew (the reader?) lands on the Moon by Edoardo Romagnoli and discovers light by Andrea Garuti, mud and flesh by Thomas Straub, dance by Virna Toppi and Pietro Lucerni. He meets the Lunatici of Mattia Guolo and Renata Molho, discovers the space menu of Marcello Trentini Magorabin and Silvia Badalotti. On the Moon, Federico Audisio di Somma and Enzo Dal Verme talk about humans, other spaces, other futures.

The first stop on this journey was MyOwnGallery - Superstudio Più. Giorgio Racca and Pierpaolo Pitacco, curators of Ghost Book, together with some of the authors, presented the collectible volume featuring big names in photography and young emerging talents. But Ghost Book is only the heart of a project whose objective is the growth of a community that, through the Ghost cultural association, meets and develops around exhibitions, workshops, events dedicated to art and photography, food and motorbikes, between passion and beauty.

Partners in this project, together with Supersudio, are RedHead Agenzia Creativa, Vermouth Riserva Carlo Alberto, Bulthaup Italia, GP Design, Soralama', Leica, MIA Photo Fair, Copernico, 100%. Creative Studio.
