Everything here is legend!

23 July, 2018

"Dear readers, now it's time for holidays and, if I can quote a mauale from the 75 in the mid 80's, we wish you a lot of driving pleasure with your Alfa Romeo". This is the beginning of the editorial of "Il Garage dell'Alfista" on newsstands.

What we love about Antonino D'Anna, director of "Il Garage dell'Alfista", is his moderation, his ethereal, detached being. Also in the third issue of his magazine he wanted to spoil us with an article dedicated to the Museum and, as they say in football, "it touches you slowly" with his invitation: "Don't think blasphemous: here everything is legend".

Four pages were not enough for the most alfista director of the printed press to tell "our little ones" and here comes an in-depth examination dedicated to the 155, where we recognize one of the unique pieces in the world present at the Museum: the 155 that won the speed record in 1992 on the salt lake of Bonneville, driven by the then director of Gente Motori. That our fearless director D'Anna is also planning an epic feat?

"Presenting a Giulia meant having the Mayor of Legnano and the municipal band present, together with refreshments and what today we would call gadgets (with an "s" to Renzo Arbore). Why? Because then it was a matter of honouring the production of Italian work".

Browsing through the third issue we find a lot of interesting articles and some common friends like Gordon De Adamich who was the protagonist of an event dedicated to safe driving, organized on the occasion of the presentation of 4C that we find on page 56.

We also find Giorgio Langella, who several times told the pages of his "heroic" story, as we like to call it here at the Museum, but on the other hand "Those of the Biscione are one big family", as the title on page 70 tells us.
