a SURPRISE FOR YOU!

Legnano will be the protagonist of a great alfista event dedicated to Gioacchino Colombo, organized by Massimo and Giuseppe Colombo in collaboration with the City of Legnano and the support of the Councillor for Culture and great alfista Franco Colombo.

Thanks to the Colombo brothers we have retraced a page of history extremely interesting for motor lovers: "Legnano is the land of motors par excellence. At the beginning of the twentieth century the City could already count on three car manufacturers: Wolsit, FIAL, SAM. The link between top-level motor racing and Legnano is only a few years old, linked to the name of a Legnanese doc: Gioacchino Colombo", Massimo tells us.

Member of the team of the great designer Vittorio Jano, author of the famous aluminium "twin-shaft" engines of the P2 Grand Prix and then of the 6C 1500 and 6C 1750, Gioacchino Colombo reached the top of the design by signing the single-seater 158, the legendary "Alfetta".

But you can read this compelling story in the article written by Simone Fisotti for Il Giornale.

The exhibition will tell the relationship between the City and Alfa Romeo with the help of photographic and technical material made available by Automobilismo Storico - Centro di Documentazione Alfa Romeo di Arese. There will also be the participation of the Fratelli Cozzi Museum, which will explore the lesser known but curious and peculiar aspects of the commercial activity concerning the relationship with customers, advertising and communication campaigns and manuals.

The exhibition will be enriched not only by the presence of some significant models of Alfa Romeo production, but also by the original works by Giorgio Alisi and the Milanese Antonio Molino, another illustrious exponent of the art of automotive design, specifically dedicated to Alfa Romeo racing models.

The Colombo brothers, curators of the exhibition, will write the accompanying texts and welcome you during the events that will be inaugurated on Friday 21 September with the opening of the exhibition at Palazzo Leone da Perego in Legnano.

A curiosity: The official logo of the event - original and unpublished - was designed by Stefano "Stizzo", Milanese tattoo artist of international acclaim.

Sunday 23rd, gathering in Piazza San Magno, in the heart of Legnano... but you don't really want us to reveal everything now, do you?

"Guided tour + EXHIBITION dedicated to Gioacchino Colombo + Alphista Meeting = WELCOME! ”

News also regarding the museum activity within the association Museimpresa with the residential seminar dedicated to the preservation of digital documents.

On September 28th and 29th, we will be in Naples, at the Museo Archivio Storico del Banco di Napoli which will also host the XIII National Conference of Italian Museums. We hope it will also be an opportunity for us to visit Sant'Antimo, in that via Dogana, which was the birthplace of Nicola Romeo.

What do you say, let's start over with the right energy?
