TRADITION IS...

By now you know: the phrase by Gustav Mahler's phrase "Tradition is to guard the fire, not to worship the ashes' is our director Elisabetta Cozzi's favourite.

This phrase also inspired us for the name of the Association's first project aimed at schools: " Tradition is Keeping the Fire - Sustainable Mobility for Generation Z".

It is a path that aims to bring the younger generations in the area closer to the culture of enterprise through innovation in the digital world and through the history of the Museum.

Involving boys and girls in a story that ranges from cinema to design, communication, graphics, society, politics and customs is for us an intelligent way of thinking about the objects, documents and stories of the Museum so that their meaning can be revived in today's themes and not lost among the folders and display cases.

Why is it innovative? In order to get the children more involved, the Museum decided to adopt GenARate technology, a solution developed by Konica Minolta. GenARate technology, the solution developed by Konica Minolta developed by Konica Minolta that allows everyone to enter the world of augmented reality. GenARate allows the display of information such as data, links to websites and social networks, videos, photos, podcasts, animations, maps, pdfs and much more through the smartphone.

Thus the Museum will make available to visitors "permanent" content linked to the museum's heritage such as "I Vip e Le Alfa", "I Poster delle Races", "Le Alfa nel Cinema". And the content will be developed by the youngsters, each year on a different theme.

What do you think: do you like our project?

Now you can support it too!

DO YOU KNOW FONDAZIONE COMUNITARIA TICINO OLONA?

The Fondazione Comunitaria del Ticino Olona (also known as Fondazione Ticino Olona or FCTO) started its activity in 2006 covering the western area of the province of Milan and in particular the territories of Legnanese, Castanese, Magentino and Abbiatense.

The aim of the Foundation is to aggregate resources from multiple donations that allow it to operate in a grant-making mode, i.e. by granting contributions for the implementation of significant projects for the development of the territory and, at the same time, providing services to facilitate the growth of the Third Sector.

FCTO's resources mainly support non-profit organisations operating at local level that are able to develop the emerging needs of different territorial areas in the social, cultural and environmental fields.
