A WEEK TO REMEMBER

22 November, 2021

Yesterday saw the end of the Corporate Culture Week, one of those moments in the year that fills the Museum with people thanks to the events and cultural occasions that focus on the role of business in the growth of a territory.

Today the Museum has a different light, that happy and lived-in air that only the passage of so many visitors can give it.

Yesterday saw the end of the Enterprise Culture Week, one of those moments in the year that fills the Museum with people thanks to events and cultural occasions that focus on the role of enterprise in the growth of a territory.

Once again this year the Museum took part in the MuseImpresa exhibition, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, embracing the theme "Grand Tour through the values of enterprising Italy".

If you couldn't attend the events, don't worry: here's what happened!

AN ALPHA 156 HEART

On Sunday 14 November the Museum had a special guest, Ivan Scelsa.

Writer and journalist, founder and president of CinemAlfa, Scelsa presented his book 'Alfa Romeo 156: the book - In principio era Giulietta. The saloon of the Arese Style Centre'. Also with him was designer Arcangelo Jeker, who worked at the Alfa Romeo Style Centre between 1990 and 1999.

"A saloon car that has won races, a family car and a reliable companion for the forces of law and order, a protagonist in front of the camera in both comedies and detective stories at the beginning of the millennium: all this and much more is the Alfa 156".

For the occasion, all the enthusiasts visited the Museum with our super guide, Renato Tradico, who also moderated the conference.

A LEAP BEYOND FRAGILITY

The evening of Thursday 18 November was doubly valuable for the museum, thanks to the presence of MuseImpresa president Antonio Calabrò and the charitable nature of the event.

Journalist Cristina Lazzati interviewed Antonio Calabrò, exploring the themes contained in his latest book 'Beyond Fragility'.

"Business Culture is right here: learning to rebuild trust in the market, in being together, in the factories, in the safety of our workplaces, in giving employees serenity. Of course, we can also use new tools, such as smartworking: but let's not forget about creativity, which is born in the company of others in front of the coffee machine and not alone in front of a computer.

Elisabetta Cozzi introduced the evening by quoting a sentence from Calabrò from an article in Il Sole 24 Ore of the same day: "Museums and business archives are bearers of a memory that is both testimony and stimulus to transformation. Theirs is an evolutionary function, a repository of experience that produces the future and promotes competitiveness'.

Mayor Lorenzo Radice also attended the evening, along with many journalists and authorities, whom we thank.

The funds raised through donations will be donated to the following charities Fondazione Ticino Olona and Rete Antiviolenza Milano.

A SEASON TO BE NOSTALGIC ABOUT

The closing event of the 20th Corporate Culture Week saw the roaring arrival of gentlemen drivers at the Museum.

The conference organised on Saturday 20 by AISA - Associazione Italiana per la Storia dell'Automobile (Italian Association for the History of Automobiles) had as its theme 'The season of the Italian Gentlemen Drivers', organised by Danilo Castellarin and with a special guest, driver Edoardo Lualdi Gabardi.

After the welcome address by Elisabetta Cozzi and the initial greeting by Aisa President Lorenzo Boscarelli, Danilo Castellarin presented an extremely valuable report dedicated to the theme of the meeting. Then it was time for the interview with pilot Edoardo Lualdi Gabardi, who enchanted the large audience with stories that were nothing short of emotional.

Dozens and dozens of photographs were projected during the conference as a result of extensive research in historical archives. At the end a beautiful video with the races of those years accompanied by music of the time.

Participants had the opportunity to follow Renato Tradico's guided tour (and who could miss it!).

 SEE YOU NEXT TIME!

Every year, during the Settimana della Cultura d'Impresa, we always try to give space to culture, to opportunities for growth and discussion and to the world of Alfa Romeo, which has made possible the business history of our beloved Museum and the Fratelli Cozzi dealership.

What do you think, did we get it right for this edition?

We think so, thanks to all our speakers, from Antonio Calabrò with Cristina Lazzati to Ivan Scelsa and Arcangelo Jeker to Aisa with Danilo Castellarin and Edoardo Lualdi Gabardi, and thanks also to all the journalists who followed and reported on each event, to our super guideto our super guide Renato Tradico and founder Pietro Cozzi, and to all the participants.

See you next time!
